Getting there
Gilgit Gateway Hotel is about 2.8 km in a straight line from Gilgit. The nearest airport is Gilgit Airport, about 1.0 km away in a straight line.
In the mountains, travel time depends far more on the road than on the distance: landslides, snow and roadworks can close passes and slow the drive, so check road conditions before setting out. Flights to Gilgit and Skardu are short and scenic but weather-dependent and are often delayed or cancelled; keep a spare day in the plan.
The nearest other stays in this guide are Hanalywood Resort (same map pin), Rupal Inn (200 m away) and Cross Roads Hotel (650 m away). In a valley, neighbouring stays can be a short walk or a steep drive apart; check the access road.

It's just one night stay, so I don't know much about the surroundings. However their rooms are good, you get filtered water along your bedside. Their are few issues that must get addressed like i faced AC issues, as it does not work properly due to which the room gets too cold in winter. Hot water is also an issue which they solved later. Regarding bedding, their comforters are so cozy that you get a good sleep on cold nights. The staff tried their best to serve us, cooperating in every matter. Suggestion: 1.They must check all the things before allotting any room to clients because clients can call the staff on all the issues like hot water issues and AC issues. 2. Please put a kiblah…
I spent one night there. I had checked the overview before but got disappointed by actual hotel standards. No Air conditioning, No free breakfast, No electricity, pillows and bedsheets were not clean and No hot water ( being in such a cold weather, hot water is must). I don’t recommend this hotel if you want these facilities.
