In the mountains, travel time depends far more on the road than on the distance: landslides, snow and roadworks can close passes and slow the drive, so check road conditions before setting out.

A must visit place. Wonderful view, easy access. Staff is courteous amd helpful but don't expect much from them, not trained enough. However it is still worth it. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Hot water all the time. Very very safe.

The location is quiet and serene. From Kundal Shahi, there are some rough patches that are not pleasant. It's surrounded by lush green forest and views of peaks around. The room was just okay. Beds were not that comfortable to spend a lot of nights, but I guess those were standard for the area. The bathroom was terrible. The only good thing was hot water without a break. We ordered food for dinner, it was nice. Breakfast starts very late, after 8, so we missed it as we had to move on. Staff are simple and nice people. Accommodating and helpful to the full extent. We were impressed by the beautiful Masjid inside, all wooden and traditionally made. If you stay there, don't miss the early…

Road for the last 7 km is in very bad position. No saloon car is recommended for travel. Rooms are old and washrooms are in bad shape. Service is ok. Location is quite good

Travellers usually base themselves in one of these small towns and use it as a stop while moving along the valley road. The stays listed here are mostly hotels and guest houses, with a smaller number of resorts and lodges.
